2. What will the childhood of a kid look like in 50 years with the prevalence of technology?
3. What new mediums can we expect to see communication through in the future?

After
collecting responses from my parents, grandparents, and sibling I have heard
quite a bit of feedback on all three of these potential research questions. I
thought that the responses were from great dispersal of generations, my
grandparents have seen the development of technology entirely and how it has
effected the world. My parents have seen the bulk of technological innovation.
And, my brother who is also a millennial brings a youthful perspective of
technology. All in all, I have a great variety of diverse perspectives. Through
the surveyed responses, the third research question seemed to be the favorite.
My grandparents are so curious to see what the future holds in technology, as
they have seen the progression from letters to FaceTime's in communication
norms. The outlook I received from my parents, was that they think the first
two questions were touched upon a bit on this last paper. They don't think that
I will find conclusion changing evidence, and the same social anxieties, lack
of social skills will probably just worsen as technologies prevalence increases.
My brother also agrees, with the prior two opinions. Even as a young millennial
he is extremely interested into what the future of communication will look
like. He has seen the progression of communication from flip phones to FaceTime’s
and is just as curious to see what is next. At the same time, I question how
much further can we advance our methods and mediums of communication? Based on
the curiosity of the audience, as well as mine; and the fact that there would
be some significant crossovers with the previous unit portfolio if I did not
choose question 3. The aforementioned reasons coupled with my desire to explore something completely different, I
will be researching question number 3.
